  2. In our "western block" whenever the main political party loses the local elections we know that it lost support and the next elections -if nothing major happens - they'll lose too. Sometimes Europeans don't fully comprehend the middle east, but still. When someone doesn't vote AKP in a polarized society it gives a very strong message.
