He didn't just change the way people played guitar, he changed the fundamental way people thought about the sounds their instruments made.

There have been many great guitarists in the last few decades, but only once in many generations does the God of Music choose to walk among us in mortal form, and the name He chose for his latest incarnation was James Marshall Hendrix. Some guitarists play with great skill, others with passion, and a few with both, but Jimi played with a holy fire.
