Absolutely correct. We have no evidence of what form these stories took, or if they existed at all, before those societies came into extensive contact with Europeans and their religion and mythology.

The priest is a character invented by Plato, and the whole story is a fable Plato was telling to illustrate points about current societies. What's rarely mentioned is that the whole point of the story involved a war between Atlantis and Athens, and there's no evidence of permanent settlement at Athens before about 3,000 BC. If there is any historical truth to Plato's Atlantis story, it would have to have occurred after that date, in the Bronze Age.

That is true for the dinosaurs (and even more so for the enormous insects of that era) but records of oxygen levels in the Pleistocene and Holocene (primarily from ice cores) show no such decrease.

@christiansather8438 It's not at all remarkable that a story being told by Plato would present things that way. It's like how Hollywood makes the US the center of all modern history and Chinese literature presents China as (literally) the center of the world. What that Egyptian priest, if he even existed, actually thought and said and what Plato put in his mouth are two very different things.

"Egyptian Records of Atlantis" is a very misleading title since no such records, or even records of those records once having existed, have ever been uncovered. Everything you mention is nothing but a story being told by Plato. There is precisely zero confirmation that any of this ever happened beyond later writers repeating Plato's story. It's not like Homer, where there are copious records of other oral and written sources discussing the Trojan War independently of Homer, showing that the Trojan War was the subject of widespread mythology and oral history. And absolutely nothing about Atlantis, even vaguely resembling Plato's story, has ever been discovered in actual Egyptian sources. Given that Plato was fond of using fables (involving, for example, magic invisibility rings) to make a philosophical point, the overwhelmingly most likely conclusion, in the absence of the tiniest shred of evidence to the contrary, is that he just made the story up.
