Are you joking? You can literally find hundreds of videos on it on YT. Ten thousand books have been written about it.

@elliewegman1846 It was theirs the same way it belonged to the Ottoman Empire before the British - right of conquest.

@notsosilentmajority1 I didn't say they shouldn't make a video here, but the idea that it isn't reported or discussed (in your words) is ludicrous.

@thechosenone3504 Canaanites had nothing to do with Africa. They were pretty much like today's Syrian, Lebanese, and Palestinian people, except the language they spoke was from a different branch of Semitic from Arabic - but not a branch that was spoken at all in Africa. (It is true that the Afro-Asiatic languages as a whole probably originated in North Africa, but that was something like 15,000 years earlier and Semitic languages originated in the Middle East well after that time.) The ancient Israelites were probably the same people as the Canaanites, they just developed a unique monotheistic religion that came to define their culture. I've hear several archaeologists who study that area in the iron age say that Israelite and pagan Canaanite sites are almost indistinguishable except by the presence or absence of pig bones and idols. I don't think anyone should take claims based purely on religion seriously, especially since the largest religions in the world, Christianity and Islam, bit claim that God said the entire world should be dominated by them.

@steventreadway9966 More like 3,000 years - Israelites didn't exist before the pyramids were built 1500 years before that, if you take the Bible literally Abram's ancestors would have been living in Mesopotamia at that time. But the Bible is a pretty sketchy historical source for anything before the monarchy, for instance, it says Abram came from "Ur of the Chaldees" but the Chaldeans didn't live within 500 miles of Ur until well after the time Abram is supposed to have lived.
