  1. Why do these people all talk about "we" - i.e., the US - expanding NATO as if the countries NATO expanded into had no agency? NATO didn't court Poland, Hungary, the Baltic States, Ukraine, etc., they all came begging to join NATO!

  4.  @battousai16  Texas isn't a sovereign nation. Ukraine is. All of the states comprising the former Soviet Union agreed that they would all be independent, and Russia promised to respect Ukraine's sovereignty in the Budapest Memorandum. Furthermore, Texas voluntarily gave up its sovereignty to become part of the US in 1845. Ukraine has never agreed to become part of Russia, it was absorbed into the the Russian Empire by conquest.
