But, as Rachel doubtless said to her Dear Leader, 'With a bit of luck, this cold spell will get rid of a lot of pensioners who probably didn't vote for us anyway, and reduce the pensions bill at the same time. A win win, Oh Mighty Leader.'

@residentsteve Perhaps the concept of sarcasm about our current government has passed you by? It seems that only Sue Gray and Harriet Harman actually believed the 'partying' claim. Of course, both were and are entirely impartial observers.

@Eph.6_10-20 Really? How do you know?
1
Presumably, Rachel from Accounts didn't either.

Bullying your stepmother is a disgraceful thing to do.

At last some good news for Rachel from Accounts. A prolonged cold spell might well remove even more elderly people than she had hoped.
1
@residentsteve Actually, you asked a question, and it was answered correctly. Indeed, the responder didn't even make a spelling mistake. Unlike you.

@residentsteve So, do you really believe that a few thousand pensioners who might die over this winter are acceptable collateral damage in the pursuit of Sir Keir's and Rachel's new paradise on earth? 'Most' doesn't cut it. There are a number struggling just above the benefits limit. Are their deaths acceptable to you? Weren't we told that we should expect better government from Labour, by the way? What has gone wrong?
1
@residentsteve Well, the Tories had 14 years to do it, but never did. What convinces you that they were 'going to do it?' Cleaasrly, a case of MyPartyRightOrWrongitis' is infecting you.
1
@residentsteve That is what you 'heard' is it? Not something that they were actually going to do at all? So in your world a Labour government should only govern on behalf of the 19% of the electorate who voted for it, and Rachel is quite right to make life miserable, or perhaps even impossible, for many elderly people who might not have voted Labour? Collateral damage? As Spock might have said to Kirk ' It's Socialism, Jim. But not as I know it.'
