When the monarch spends his time criticising every facet of English/British history, and happily expresses more or less open contempt for we peasants, who fund his comfortable lifestyle, shout the Royal Family really be surprised at the effect it has? Perhaps he hopes to ingratiate himself with the new population? I doubt it will work.

  2.  @AntonSmyth-od6rc  It should be, or the examples of Charles I orJames II may be repeated. Kings called 'Charles' in this country have never had much success.
