@fredcarson2791 No. The Navy is ultimately responsible to the Head of State. That is why the ships are prefixed 'His Majesty's Ship.' If the Head of State chooses to allow the elected government to make decisions about governance, then the armed forces must abide by those decisions. The alternative would be civil war and anarchy.

@tisme68 The duty of the armed forces is to obey the orders of the Monarch, or of those designated by the Monarch to make those decisions. The elected government is in place to decide what is in the best interests of the citizens, even when those decisions are dubious or questionable.
