@ScottishRoss27 I thought the issue was independence, not markets. If that is your only argument, why not simply become a province of China? Population 1,451,477,905 as of Sunday, September 11, 2022. I am sure Scotland will have just as much independence as a Chinese province as it might have as an EU one.

@ScottishRoss27 Perhaps it would be churlish to point out that you haven't answered, nor even attempted to answer, my comment? Why doesn't Scotland simply become a province of China, if wider markets are the goal?
