@kevinadamson5768 With the salary for a bog standard, largely unthinking, MP around £91,000 p.a., plus effectively limitless expenses and the ability to make many useful 'contacts,' wouldn't you?

@JamesLWilliams-k9x No. It is simply the result that can be expected from a First Past The Post System. A party which received one in three of the votes cast, which received 500,000 less votes than in the Jazzer disaster in 2019, and for which only one in five of the eligible electorate actually voted, gained around two thirds of the seats in Parliament. The tories, of course, have benefitted from this anomaly in the past, but a system based on two main parties, originally Tory/Liberal & then Tory/Labour, simply cannot when additional parties appear.
