If Trump managed to listen to Starmer droning on in that tedious monotone for that long without either falling asleep or losing the will to live, then his stamina must be remarkable.

I believe that David Lammy was also present, having mistakenly understood that he was to watch an episode of his favourite television programme, Trumpton.
4
To be fair, for 40 minutes Trump had left the phone on the table, and was doing something interesting instead.
4
Wouldn't be nice to be a fly on the wall of the Oval Office when Trump has his first meeting with the Dear Leader and his Foreign Secretary?
4
Trump does not need to make the Dear Leader look like an idiot. Starmer has already done that for himself unaided.

'If I hit a lamppost I would be charged with dangerous driving, undue care and attention.' Not if you had suffered a sudden medical emergency, you wouldn't. 'OR maybe she is married to a judge, councillor, someone in the police?' Or, perhaps she isn't, but was simply taken suddenly ill? 'Just like the Harry Dunn murder where a diplomats wife can kill someone on the road, at fault but yet they go home and refuse to return or be questioned.' How is that incident even tenuously connected with this one?
3
When did having an epileptic seizure become a criminal offence?
3
'What happens next?' Isn't it obvious? Gary Lineker becomes Archbishop of Canterbury, and Justin Welby hosts Match of the Day. Although, apparently, his views on VAR are controversial, and perhaps even heretical.

Whatever peoples' opinions of Prescott, he would, given his origins and background, not have been allowed within a mile of the current 'Labour' Party. I say, Sir Keir. Look at that working class oik. Not one of our sort at all!
2
@azillliasmith2734 Quite, but until the facts are known, some of the fools rushing to condemn without evidence should keep silent.

Ms. Vennells is a kind, almost saintly woman, who always tried to do good, but was cruelly misled by evil people surrounding her. How many of you are even aware that she was told so little that, for four months after being made Group CEO, she could not even find her office in the Post Office headquarters building? No one would tell her where it was. I refer you to the term 'sarcasm' in any good dictionary.
1
Ironic really. The BBC had decreed that a woman should win it, but even then they picked the wrong woman.
1
@guleiro Do you think that 'Brexit' was responsible for the fall of Constantinople in 1453, and for everything else since?
1
@guleiro When a member of the EU, British opinion was consistently ignored by the unelected technocrats at Bruxeslles/Strasbourg. You really cannot seriously believe that the steadily declining members of the EU can talk to the US on equal terms, or anything like it, surely? I suggest that you should put that proposition to Vice President Vance, as he probably needs a good laugh.

Feelings & families are irrelevant where the media are concerned.
1
@sarangistudent8614 Or was it simply a tragic accident caused by an unforeseen medical event?
1
@Dinghy_Dog Could have been worse. He might have sent David Lammy.
1
Indeed. The Mirror has set new low standards with this one.
1
Although there were no white people in chains on slave ships, many white people did indeed experience slavery throughout history. Perhaps Ms. Abbott is unaware of the fact, or chooses not to be aware of the fact?
1
@maureendavidson4635 I suspect that an alien survey craft examined earth some time ago, and submitted a report saying that, 'Whilst it appears that this planet could support intelligent life, we have found no evidence that any actually exists.'
1
@timmayers4965 Not a believer in Democracy, I observe. You must be a socialist?
1
@Achies31397 Indeed he was. So why should another democratically elected leader not be respected?
1
@Achies31397 Putin was no more elected in than was Kim Jong Un, in point of fact. Starmer was only elected in by the voters in his constituency. Trump was elected in by a majority of the citizens of the United States.
1
@timmayers4965 What are not mutually exclusive?
1
@trueadam8PSL I assume you have evidence to support this?
