Ah, but because he did, sites are overloaded with half-wits calling him a 'war monger' although the same half-wits are never quite able to explain which wars someone out of government between 1929 & 1939 actually 'mongered.'

Really? Where in the text are any of the victor nations committed to 'demilitarisation,' whatever that means? The British Empire & Commonwealth, as well as the Americans and French, certainly reduced their armies back from a wartime to a peacetime footing, and the British reduced their fleet as a result of the Washington Naval Treaties, but those were entirely separate issues unconnected with Versailles.

@AFGuidesHD Of course they did. Woodrow Wilson, David Lloyd-George and Georges Clemenceau were the three dominant figures there. Both Wilson and Lloyd-George felt that French demands were too severe, until Clemenceau told Wilson that, should they be overturned, France would not be able to re-pay her war debts to the US.

@AFGuidesHD Hardly. Wilson was a driving force behind it, then his own Senate refused to ratify it. Just as Wilson's pet project, the League of Nations, couldn't get through the Senate either, resulting in the US not becoming members of their own creation.
