  1. Yes. Carefully avoid any further actions against the Grand Fleet after Jutland, then placidly sail into Scapa Flow to surrender after your country has signed an armistice. That way, your entire fleet will survive, at least for a while!

  2. It is easy to talk about 'to die in glory' when you aren't the one doing it. Personally, I have a degree of sympathy for the mutineers. They had remained aboard their ships, swinging to their cables in the Jade, whilst the Northern Blockade systematically starved the German civilian population into submission. When you have just received a letter from home telling you that Auntie Gerda has died of malnutrition, you are hardly likely to be all that enthusiastic about self-immolation for the glory of the fatherland, even if 'The ride of the Valkyries' is blasting out over the speakers as the first fifteen inch shells hit!
