  1. Valid point. The Hunt class date from the 1980s. Chiddingfold was launched in Ocrober 1983. Mind you, the first of the new Type 26 frigates, HMS Glasgow, will require at least eleven years from commencement of construction (2017) to completion (2028?). Japanese yards can build a frigate in four years! If only Britain's MoD was not so totally unfit for purpose!!
