@owenarnold7611 You don't think that the cheering crowd is a matter of some concern? The subsequent response of the Labour Party and the Police, whilst welcome, is not the issue. The fact that a mob, including, ludicrously, a woman in an Amnesty International tabard, were supportive, is.

Don't forget the traditional 'The comments were taken totally out of context' one. It generally also seems to work.

@owenarnold7611 I believe that he does so claim. But commenting on history is not the same as presenting the news. I thought you were more interested in the news? In this case, he is not 'reading history' but simply commenting on an unfolding event. Put simply, is anything he said actually factually inaccurate? Didn't the individual concerned recommend murder, and didn't the people behing him cheer and applaud in support? I fear that your prejudice is showing through.

@candy-le4nh Surely, the point at issue is not the response of the Labour Party, which could hardly have been anything other than what it was, but the fact that the mob behind the speaker, including a woman in what appeared to be an Amnesty International tabard, cheered and applauded the idea of the murder of other people simply because they objected to their political opinions?
