May I ask a simple question? Can large numbers of people really be enticed into riots and demonstrations by extremists if they are happy & contented with their lot?

@SinghDynamite But, by and large, people are selfish. I suspect that to a degree I agree with you, however. My point is that, if large numbers of ordinary people were basically satisfied with the state of the country, there would be no fertile soil in which agitation could grow. Unfortunately, our Prime Minister seems, deliberately perhaps, to have blinded himself to this fact.

@7346908 Where has that been suggested? The fact is that such behaviour does not suddenly appear from a vacuum. There has to be underlying discontent, or the vast majority of people will simply ignore the calls of agitators.
