The concerning thing is that Angela was merely the Igor to the Frankenstein that promises to be the Reverend Vennells.

What purpose would that serve? Better that she be required to forfeit most of her wealth & property, and then be forced to work in menial jobs for the rest of her existence. However:- 1). It will not happen. These people protect their own. 2). She is far from the only villain in this disgraceful affair.
7
@adrumchapelbear2187 As Angela would probably say. 'I don't know. I never made the connection.'
6
Without being (too) rude, St. Greta looks to have had a few expensive meals recently.
4
@robinsmart4397 Well, it seems that 'people' were wrong.
4
@drcommonsense1 'They' are not proposing any solution. The Government is responsible for solving these issues. Unfortunately, the government is not listening, as Starmer's astonishingly unwise speech made abundantly clear.
3
Krankie was hardly likely to say ' The game's up! It's a fair cop, Guv'nor. I'll come quietly.' Was she?
3
Anyone who thought that her performance on day one was poor should now view the absolute train wreck that was Angela's effort on the second day.
3
@ohdearism 'Incredible amounts of naivety.' An excellent summing up of Sir Keir's Cabinet of failed sixth form student debaters.
3
Basically, what she seems to be saying is, 'These little people, they are all crooks and thieves. Sometimes, I wonder why we even appointed them to their positions in the first place.' Jus think, had Justin had his way, she would have been Bishop of London.
3
@drcommonsense1 'and you blame a government that has been in power for not even a month?' No. a volatile situation has been exacerbated by Starmer's astonishingly divisive speech.
2
@ianmacewan9416 I thought that was precisely what Sturgeon wanted when she hoped to become a minor province of the Brussels Empire?
2
@MrDamodee 'Will nobody rid us of these turbulent Scots?' Or, as P. G. Wodehouse wrote, “It is never difficult to distinguish between a Scotsman with a grievance and a ray of sunshine.”
2
As I interpret it, it reads that he simply does not agree with Mr. Musk's assessment of Mr. Robinson.
2
Good heavens! Lady Nugee actually talking to a member of the lower orders. If she had known that she would be expected to speak to the peasantry, she wouldn't have joined.
2
Her evidence will be rather tedious. How many times can someone say 'I have no recollection of that' without it becoming a bit repetitive?
1
Unfair! Sean was an enthusiastic proponent of Scottish independence. So enthusiastic that he chose to demonstrate his support by living in Spain.
1
As a Briton, I would hope that he takes the side of the United States of America. Isn't that the duty of their President?
1
Rhat is a shameful thing to write about the Dear Leader & Rachel from Accounts.
1
@s.j.bluewater908 I think I do. For the salary.
1
'Forgotten Working Class Brits.' Aren't you really referring to the Dear Leader? When the UK government seeks to ban anyone who disagrees with it, it will be a sas say for freedom of speech.
1
@darrenj3267 So, in your world, anyone who disagrees with the Dear Leader is knowingly spreading malicious untruths, and anyone who listens to them is, ipso facto, guilty of unjust bias?
1
Do you only believe in Freedom of Speech when it agrees with you?
1
Hold on. Hasn't he been consistent in his view of Mr. Robinson?
1
@specialcandletrust6531 Quite right. It is unequal. Block Grant funding for the Scottish Government is the highest since devolution began at around £41 billion a year for 2022-2025. This means that for every £100 per person the UK Government spends in England on matters devolved to Scotland, the Scottish Government will receive around £126 per person in Scotland. It has always puzzled me why the SNP has always argued that it would benefit Scotland to leave the Union, only to become a minor and largely ignored colony of the European Empire. Surely, there must be more to it than Jimmie Krankie and her chums being able to fiddle from the public purse?
1
But if Reform, which is synonymous with Farage, allows itself to become the plaything of a rich man, it will forever be a minor party. Musk was right to criticise about the Grooming Gangs, although his language was intemperate, but seeking to run a British political party through a compliant lackey will certainly destroy any progress Reform might have made.
1
Is he? I thought he disagreed with him?
1
Lobour as in Lobourtomy?
1
Probably, President Biden has forgotten that there even was a debate by now.
1
@emm_arr You mean the issue that claims that, because you don't like the result of a democratic referendum, you can simply ignore it?
1
@emm_arr If I didn't, I wouldn't have written it.
1
Reform did not 'remove us from our European neighbours.' A referendum did.
1
At least two of them were on the other side of the Atlantic.
1
The British didn't divide India into India & Pakistan. It happened at the insistence of one Mohammed Ali Jinnah, who insisted upon a separate state for Muslims. History seemingly is not one of your strengths, presumably?
1
'Do Starmer and Reeves have a ‘big idea’ to save the economy?' Indeed they do. Ask the Chinese to run it.
1
I fear that his record to date does not inspire much confidence.
