She isn't a presenter, she is simply a commentator. GB News would rightly receive enormous criticism if it simply, like the BBC had people on it who argued the same point of view. Actually, it is wise to allow her to speak, as her views are so bizarre that any rational person hearing them would immediately be alienated.

@BrianLesliePerry Surely the point is that Reform are starting more or less from scratch. If you believe that they should refuse to accept Tories or former Tories, then presumably you wish them to remain a minor part with merely niche appeal?

He was a Conservative between 1978 &1992. Perhaps between those years, the Tory Party changed somewhat? All movement is relative. Just possibly, the Tory world view separated from his own?

@nicotoscani1707 Feel free, then, to be a member of a small party, appealing to a minority.
2
Would you be happier if Reform remained a minority pressure group? It does seem so.
2
@Stormcrow_1 Equally, if Reform do not secure Tory voters in significant numbers, where will they be in four or five years time?
2
Presumably, you would recommend the BBC?

@Foxy008 Very pedantic. All right then, try 'people who have habitually voted Tory.' It doesn't change the point.

@BrianLesliePerry Yes. A democratic is such a sod when you don't like the result, isn't it? The term 'democracy' should only be applied to things with which you agree. I suppose?

@BrianLesliePerry I really don't feel able to assess the motives of those who signed the petition, but I do know a number of people of a range of political persuasions who are annoyed that the Labour party was elected to government on the basis of a manifesto which seems to have been largely, and perhaps deliberately, a falsehood.
1
Equally, why would they refuse to admit them? Do Reform want to be a serious party, or simply a cult?
1
Did you see Davey's shambolic effort at the Post Office Inquiry? There is your answer.
1
Why is it that a change of opinion is unacceptable in politics? At least to some?

GB News are on very thin ice. OFCOM scrutinise them minutely, and are seeking any possible opportunity to close them down for not fully adhering to the required agenda. They have, on a daily basis, to prove themselves purer that the driven snow, or the axe will fall.

@paulcampbell840 Precisely. They are walking a tightrope, which of course will not stop OFCOM getting them eventually.
