  3. Rommel was worried about the dominance of Allied air power, having encountered it in North Africa & Tunisia. However, the problem with trying to concentrate his defence close to the beaches means exposing the armour to Naval Gunfire Support. Really, either idea would end in failure.

  11.  @Niko132  Nonsense. Irving's book about Dresden used just two tainted & prejudiced sources, and was later totally debunked by a detailed German study. Irving certainly did use the archives, but in a very selective manner. There are certainly a number of fools around, however. Most of them are unquestioning fans of Irving.
