I think that, were you to ask the inhabitants of the Falklands for their opinions, they would tell you that they already regarded themselves as free. Presumably the concept of self-determination is one with which you are unfamiliar?

  9. Perhaps not then, but certainly now. The current BBC, had it existed in 1944, might well have had a special edition of Panorama broadcast on 2 June with full details of intended landing beaches and units involved in Operation Overlord.
