  4. Achilles/Achille is an old Royal Navy name. The first dated from 1744, and the tenth, from 1968, was a Leander class frigate. More generally, Achilles, as in HMS Achilles, was a 74 gun Ship of the LIne at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, and a later HMS (later HMNZS) Achilles, was a light cruiser at the River Plate, Guadalcanal, and Okinawa in WW2. A much more illustrious name for a new RN warship than Agincourt is, or ever could be.

  6.  @CAL1MBO  Nonsense. Although the name does refer to Greek mythology, it is an old and illustrious one in Royal Navy history. There have been ten previous ships named Achilles or Achille in the Royal Navy. The first in 1744 and the last, to date, a Leander class frigate from 1968.

  7.  @harrier1417  The 4th Rate (78) broken up in 1796 was also called 'Achille' and had been a French ship captured at the Glorious First of June in 1794. The Battle Honour 'Trafalgar 1805' is carried by any RN ship with the name 'Achilles' so I feel it appropriate to link the ships with the name.

Agincourt was a monster of a warship.' She was heavily armed, but poorly armoured. She had a 9 inch belt, 1.5 inch deck armour. The belt matched that of a Lion class battlecruiser, but the deck armour was 1 inch thinner than any other British dreadnought, battleship or battlecruiser, which ever put to sea. She was not a 'monster of a warship.' The name Achilles/Achille has six Battle Honours, dating from 1761 to 1945. Agincourt has three. There have been ten previous ships named Achilles/Achille, and five named Agincourt. The name of HMS or HMNZS Achilles is synonymous with Trafalgar, The Plate, Guadalcanal & Okinawa. It is an illustrious one in the history of the Royal Navy. Agincourt as a name is not in the same league.
