  1. As someone almost wrote, 'It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that those who urge others to 'do your research' generally haven't done any themselves.' (Sorry, Jane!). I experienced something similar, a few years ago. A woman in the office asked me to buy some raffle tickets. I asked what they were for, and was told 'CND.' I said no, as I didn't support CND. She said 'So, you want us all to die in a nuclear explosion, do you?'
