@ianashton1593 Ah, but their salaries are determined by a totally independent & impartial body (honest!) and it wouldn't be appropriate to refuse any increase, would it? There is all-party support for this, of course.

@grumpyoldgirl8582 Unwise. If members of the House of Peers didn't have a safe and comfortable place to sleep, they would only be found wandering the streets in their pyjamas and slippers, thus placing the Health Services under more pressure.
