  1. The British Legion already has a 'Diversity & Inclusion' Manager on a salary in excess of £60k per annum. That equates to a lot of we little people buying a lot of poppies to keep her in the style to which she doubtless quickly became accustomed. By the way, there is a whole 'Diversity & Inclusion' TEAM, which suggests that the £60+ is merely the tip of the iceberg. Personally, I will still make a donation or two, but to another military charity. No longer, sadly, to the British Legion.

  2. That seems to have been what Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae thought as well, when he wrote the poem. The last phrase in it may be apposite :- If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
