Most survivors had more pressing matters on their minds, rather than carefully studying the details of the sinking. Only around 15 reported that the ship broke in half.

Most survivors had more pressing matters to concern them than trying to watch the final moments of a pitch black ship against a pitch black background. Perhaps that explains why only 13 survivors said that they believed the ship did break in two. The vast majority either didn't express an opinion, or simply didn't say.

I'm not sure what he might have learned. An historian could look at the remains of a tank destroyed at the Battle of Kursk, but it wouldn't tell him anything about the battle itself.

How do you explain the inconvenient fact that Lord's officers alerted him to a 'large steamer firing rockets' and he did precisely nothing? How do you know that the ship seen from Titanic wasn't Californian, by the way?

@bradclark2922 Thirteen from just over 700 is hardly a statistically significant number. Moreover, the Inquiries had more important matters to consider than what was, essentially, a detail. Such as why Titanic sank, not the manner in which she sank. Who, by the way, do you think 'ridiculed' the survivors? I know of only one less than respectful comment, made some 50 years after the sinking.

Wasn't bad?' No it wasn't bad, it was appalling. A nazi propaganda movie, pure and simple.

No. Depicting the 'glories' of nazism.
