Methane is not coming down, we have tipped into a regime where methane is coming out of tropical wetlands, and also continues to be released from the permafrost - more and more each year.

@robertnewland8358 what you are not taking into account is the marked acceleration of release of methane over the last 30 years. The heating is causing these processes to go faster.Already we are more than double what it was 30 years ago. It is not going to stop. Also Massive amounts are in the arctic : in the permafrost which is melting and under the sea in the form of clathrates, basically methane ice.
