China can trade and allow western companies to participate in the China market but until the USA stops sanctions; banning companies; military aggression etc China will never trust the USA. Trump did hugh damage so regardless of who is in power the USA is not trustworthy to China.

  4.  @Andy-P  In my view the collective west has not abandoned its colonial approach to other nations to this day. The past treatment of China and India by colonial powers was very bad and this has shaped the world we live in today in my view.
