  1. I don't disagree. He deliberately makes inflammatory comments like this to 1) fire up his base, and 2) make everyone else freak out. Yet while I'm by no means, a Trump supporter, the lack of seriousness that many EU nations have taken toward defense investment, and the implicit attitude that, "we don't need to spend money on defense, because the U.S. will be there to bail us out" is a real thing, and a real problem that needs to be fixed.
