@CD_RN_Independent_Voter And in most places that have "universal healthcare," when you point out that those programs are plagued with problems, that costs are rising unsustainably at the same time that populations are shrinking and will, in our lifetimes, no longer be able to pay for these programs, that many countries that have these programs are quietly trying to figure out how to go to "tiered" systems in which people have to pay more if they want good service, etc. then similarly, the conversation is also over. Kind of like the EU, "universal healthcare" sounds beautiful in theory, but historically speaking, has a short shelf life.
