  3.  @filleauparadis7633  Thanks for the response. I realize that it's a cultural thing, deeply embedded in the British psyche. But the pragmatic side of me can't help but think that all of these things could be accomplished (and are, in other countries) in other, more efficient ways. But I don't suppose that's entirely the point.
