  1. Kennedy has a greatly exaggerated estimation of his own intelligence. He telegraphs exactly what his point is before he ever opens his mouth, and then proceeds to act as if he is country boy clever. He isn’t. He makes it so obvious, as to exactly what he is doing. He makes his reputation on that same pseudo-country boy BS. (I grew up in an extremely rural area, amd his caricature is so easy to spotNo wonder people have contempt of Congress! Any witness not intimidated by his shtick, or being questioned by Congresspersons, could make him look like the very fool he thinks he pretending to be. As for his level of intelligence, seems to be great at book learning, but low on the common sense totem pole. He insults people by pretending to quote polls or someone else, he digests and regularly regurgitates info from Russian sources and bots, as well. Putting on a play is one thing, especially when it is about advancing your political agenda, and using the advantage of your position to keep those who are interrogating and belittling quiet, but learning the type of critical thinking that is common sense, seems to be out of his grasp. His theater is definitely directed at a certain intellectual and socio-economic level in his constituency, but the common sense necessary to attain a certain level of critical thinking is definitely 3rd rate to his little act. Boring, tasteless, self-congratulatory, the very caricature of a politician.
