In Indonesia, there is plenty of bigotry, and it is backed by law. True respect for religion does not discriminate against anyone, and the new anti-gay laws put your assertion to shame. It seems that you are a decent person, who believes in tolerance and freedom, but it is apparent that there are many, including religious fanatics and legislators, in Indonesia, who do not feel as you do

@josetjaw8161 i think you misunderstood. I am simply saying that hate is not a religion, and that it is wrong to claim that what someone is doing out of ignorance, fear, hate, is not religion. It is wrong to do so. I completely agree with your wording, except i am not hating, and i am not in any way promoting hatred. I do detest hypocrisy and people using their religion to control other people. Indonesians battle this like many other people. It has armed groups who have been responsible for deaths in the name of religion, and recently passed a law defining who may and may not legally have sex, based upon a political definition of marriage. As to uniting people in love and respect, you are absolutely correct, and i salute you for your commitment.
