Comments by "Steven" (@Steven-vo4ee) on "The new space race: Russia launches first mission to moon in almost 50 years" video.
If it’s a race RU have already lost, they can no longer afford to develop a super heavy launch vehicle, due to their failed ‘operation’ in UA.

Gotta be satire
5
An iPhone would be useless on the moon.
4
Meanwhile the US has already landed men on the moon, and will have two super heavy launch vehicles in short order to do so again, whilst RU cannot afford to develop a single one because of its failed ‘operation’.
4
It’s impossible for them to do so, they don’t have the cash to develop a super heavy launch vehicle, it’s been put on indefinite hold.
3
What about this video supports your claim, or is it just a non sequitur?
3
@TimothyBushell That is absolute nonsense, R.U. has never had the capacity to launch a crewed spacecraft to the moon. The N1 super heavy launch vehicle they developed to do so never successfully launched, as such their manned lunar programme was abandoned.
3
@wren2900 Do you believe the Chinese, French and the S.U / today’s R.U. were and still are all part of the ‘coverup’ of America’s ‘staged’ moon landings? If not explain why they haven’t exposed the ‘truth’.
2
@wren2900 I know the history of it, no need to tell me as I lived through most of it… What I find amusing are people who believe they have special knowledge which has been kept secret by numerous US competitors and adversaries for over 50 years, despite it clearly being to their advantage to expose it. I wonder why they haven’t….
2
@wren2900 The technology hasn’t been lost, the tooling and skills of the engineers have, as unsurprisingly the majority of the engineers have since passed away, and the tooling for redundant launch vehicles was repurposed or scrapped.
2
@wren2900 Every point you’ve made has been debunked innumerable times, yet you someone who apparently views themself as knowledgeable and smart, is unaware of that.
2
@wren2900 Fact is that they did, nothing was debunked in 2023, evidence of the Apollo landings are overwhelming, countries which have the capability and interest to demonstrate otherwise don’t because they can’t, and in the near future when humans return you’ll be able to see for yourself, unless you pretend that’s staged too…
2
@JamesSmith-qs4hx Six successful crewed missions to land on the moon over four years, all observed and tracked by the Chinese, French and most importantly the S.U., all of whom would have gleefully called out the Americans if they had staged it, yet they didn’t, as it self evidently wasn’t staged. What a surprise “James” cannot grasp the obvious.
2
Luna 25 dates back to the 1990s.
2
As part of ESA providing the propulsion and life support module for NASA’s Orion spacecraft. It’s an international cooperation, like the ISS.
2
@helentyrer3298 RFK Jr is is 🤪
2
@V12F1Demon Undilute claptrap
2
Yeah and the earth is flat… 🙄
2
Launching an unmanned probe in the works since the 1990s on a 1960s launch vehicle. The UK as part of ESA has launched numerous interplanetary probes in recent years and is developing modem reusable launch vehicles.
2
@donpettitwedestroyedtheapo6488 ’Irrefutable evidence’ that’s no doubt akin to the ’irrefutable evidence’ the flat Eathers trot out.
1
@danielwhyatt3278 ESA and JAXA are cooperating with NASA. ESA are producing the propulsion and life support modules for NASA’s Orion spacecraft, though if SpaceX’s Starship proves itself to be successful and reliable, Orion and SLS may be retired early.
1
@imperator791 The UK doesn’t need its own “rockets” despite successfully developing our own in the 1960s & 70s. The UK cooperates with other European countries via ESA, providing mutual access to space and an exploration programme with funding only second to NASA’s.
1
@agungprasetyo2665 Gibberish
1
@appletree6741 Yes, R.U. has ruined itself. Even when the ‘operation’ is over, it will spend decades shunned and isolated, there’s no easy way back into the international community for it now.
1
@edwardwongiii2229 Doubtful for much longer, the tide is heading eastwards.
1
@infinitetk4165 Angara-5’s payload capacity is no greater than the Proton it is replacing, it is not suitable for crewed Lunar missions, a super heavy lift vehicle is required for that.
1
@Yair44 Nothing to do with sleep, rather reality
1
@Philosophfromthewomb You’ve made that claptrap copypasta comment umpteen times.
1
@Елена-г4о2у The tide has turned eastwards and will soon wash the trash away.
1
@Елена-г4о2у R.U. has to beg Iran and N.K. for more weapons. What a joke it has become.
1
@Елена-г4о2у Yeah I’m sure they are…
1
Six successful American crewed missions to land on the moon over four years, all observed and tracked by the Chinese, French and most importantly the S.U., all of whom would have gleefully called out the Americans if they had staged it, yet they didn’t, as clearly it wasn’t staged.
1
@wren2900 The cost of rebuilding a Saturn V launch vehicle today without the tooling and the experienced engineers would be as great, if not greater than designing and building a modern one almost from scratch, which is what they’ve done with SLS and Orion. You have to be very misinformed to believe they haven’t been there.
1
@wren2900 Absolute nonsense. The cost of developing the Saturn V alone was over $50bn adjusted for inflation, whereas the cost of developing the SLS has been little over $12bn. NASA has a finite budget, it’s not the US military which is a money pit, and NASA’s launch vehicles are not export products.
1
What a surprise, “James” denies reality…
1
@user1qaz2wsx3edc That’s incorrect.
1
@JamesSmith-qs4hx What a bizarre non sequitur, you appear to be very confused.
1
@Philosophfromthewomb Absolute guff.
1
It’s an unmanned probe, at this rate R.U. won’t put boots on lunar soil in this century.
1
This is 1990s relic of a probe launched on a 1960s launch vehicle. Sanctions are irrelevant to it.
1
No doubt the earth is flat too… 🙄
1
You’re incorrect, the UK independently developed and launched several “rockets”. We successfully placed the Prospero satellite into orbit in 1971 using a Black Arrow launch vehicle (rocket). The UK via the UKSA now participates in the European Space Agency (ESA).
1
@alexmel4788 British designed and built satellites are purchased and launched by numerous countries across the globe.
1
@digitaldystopian Someone’s upset about something…
1
@Philosophfromthewomb Keep dreaming.
1
@digitaldystopian You believe a child could build an ‘rocket’ capable of reaching orbit, let alone escape velocity? That’s precious! 🤣
1
So despite the Chinese, French and the S.U. observing and tracking six successful American crewed moon landings over four years, having zero reason to believe they were staged and to this day haven’t claimed them to be, you, some entirely unqualified random person on YT, ‘knows’ they were staged…. Right….
1
Plus this launch is an unmanned probe, you don’t appear to have any idea what you’re talking about.
1
@1luarluar1 Yes, there’s overwhelming evidence that they did and zero that they didn’t.
1
@V12F1Demon We get it - you have a penchant for 🤪 people.
1
@timmiller6868 R.U. has only ever landed unmanned probes on the moon, never human beings.
1
@Philosophfromthewomb Keep dreaming
1
It’s possible, but I wouldn’t count on it, my money is on Chinese boots being next on the moon.
