The laws should have never been as extreme in the first place. I blame Whitty and SAGE more than anyone. Clearly they came up with all the largely extreme uncalled for rules. Medical experts did. NHS and others as well.

@DigitalDaffodil And he lives/works in a very unique situation. Some people clearly don't get it. Downing street is neither primarily a home or a workplace. It's a hybrid. All of this logically makes a difference.

@josephkerrigan733 What he did was nothing imo. It's so over-the-top the outcry over it form some. 10 minutes in a room. Where someone brought a cake in when he came back from a working visit. And a few staff came in the room and wished happy birthday.The cake was probably even arranged as a surprise by his wife. Big deal. Hardly "partying" by any stretch.

Just seen an article that says lawmaker breaks the law. Boris isn't a lawmaker per se. HOC is. If they don't go through they don't get to be laws. Journalism rally is crap these days. D

@steveelwick8096 Hmm hopefully not. I think SAGE are dumped now. Better late than never. But I think people need to remember it's not as if anyone else who could gain power would do or would have done any better. Labour for example backed every single measure no matter how extreme. And in fact wanted more at times.

@jamesirvine7268 It goes deeper though. Ask yourself who made up the rules and the more extreme rules. Who thought them up. Not Boris I bet. Who backed them. Well the whole of Parliament. And who wanted even more.
