  4.  @evangelesong6319  You're missing the point. Rich individuals and corporations in Canada (and the US) own thousands and thousands of homes. They then jack up the price and and wait for someone to buy it. It doesn't matter to them if it's empty or not, since they skirt tax laws by bundling the homes into their "business". The homes are owned. But in almost 1.4 million cases, they aren't occupied. Get it now?

  5.  @evangelesong6319  Well, you're right. Owned homes SHOULD be occupied. But they're not and unless strict residency laws are passed, things are only going to get worse.
