@ChaosLightspeed Visit other people, yes. Repeatedly turn up at another home seeking food, attention and shelter? No - that indicates the cat's needs are not being met at its own home. That's not necessarily a condemnation of their owner by the way. There can be multiple reasons a cat becomes unhappy - the arrival of another pet it doesn't get along with, is a classic one. Ditto small children who are not supervised around it, and play rough/loud. Cats are highly intelligent, and unlike dogs they have the independence to vote with their feet/paws, and find themselves a new family should they want one!

@erwins_arm Human stalking and cat 'stalking' are very different. But you're right, not every human is a cat, or indeed an animal lover. Thankfully these people were - I believe the cat picked up on that, which is why he/she stuck around. Cats are highly intelligent, they know when they're wanted, and indeed when they are not! They don't tend to stick around if it's the latter.
