Yep - it's their damn job to apprehend violent sex predators, not let them loose on the public! Did they all leave their tasers in the car??!! Utterly pathetic - also why send only one male officer? That guy is young and strong, and always resists arrest.

@bboss7712 The mistake here was sending a lone female officer initially (that's clearly wrong - he has a history of violence and resisting arrest, and is also a sex offender), then sending more police women as back-up, and only one male cop! That's dumb policing. The issue here was utilising female officers inappropriately, when the situation demanded male muscle. A young, strong, violent criminal like him obviously requires multiple males to overpower and arrest him. Some aspects of policing suit female officers better, but incidents like this demand male officers.

Yep - and as well as being violent, cops had just established he's also a sex offender. He's a clear danger to the public yet law enforcement sent just one male officer to the scene, and they decided not to arrest him in the interests of their own safety. Instead they let him loose on the public. Great work, Keystone Cops!

It's high time sex offenders were treated as the serious danger to women and children they are, and locked up. There is no such thing as a minor sex offence. Men who expose their genitals in public and/or masturbate, frequently escalate their sex offending to sexual assault, rape and even sexually motivated murder. Serial sex killer Ted Bundy started out as a teen peeping tom, watching female neighbours through their windows.

Only one male officer arrived, that was the problem, and it's why they didn't feel confident they'd overpower him. Very dumb policing, to send more females to arrest a violent sex offender, with a history of resisting arrest. The situation obviously required male muscle. He belongs in prison, an ankle monitor does not protect the public!

Agreed the sicko is a sex offender and presents a clear danger to women, probably children too. I'm amazed he wasn't arrested and taken into custody for that serious offence immediately. And why the hell is indecent exposure - ie exposing his penis and masturbating in public - merely a misdemeanour? It should be a damn felony with automatic prison time, there is no such thing as a 'minor sex offence', these perverts are dangerous and their sex crimes against women and children inevitably escalate!

@bridgetd0317 You can't blame any female for being scared of a muscular, violent sex offender - regardless that she's in police uniform, she'd be an idiot if she wasn't scared. He's dangerous! She was alone when she first approached him. That in itself is wrong, they should not send a lone female officer to apprehend a maniac like him. Exposing his genitals and masturbating in public makes him a sex offender and danger to women and children, as well as a violent felon. So he belonged behind bars urgently, for the safety of the public generally. Utterly ridiculous they sent only one male police officer to deal with a known violent criminal, with a known history of resisting arrest. LE messed up in every way possible!
