  1. People who foster supposedly 'aggressive' dogs and cats are the unsung heroes of animal rescue. By welcoming those animals into their home (and often their existing animal family), they save their life and socialise and teach them how to live the life of a pet, thus making them adoptable. Giving up that foster animal must be very hard for them - they inevitably form a bond while they are their house-guest. But once a loving forever home is found for them, the foster parent knows their work is done, and must selflessly let them go. That way they free up a place to welcome another needy little 'rough diamond' into their foster home, to lovingly polish them up to a sparkling gem of a pet!
