1977, 42 years ago, the Queen's Silver Jubilee year. Dame Barbara speaks some nuggets of wisdom. The permissive society, the pill and so-called sexual freedom doesn't seem to have done as much for women as it has for men.
And the internet was not even a twinkle in Bill gates' eye back then - Dame Barbara would have been apoplectic at the vile, hardcore porn children can and do see today at the mere click of a mouse.
Sadly the misogynistic, 'Madonna - whore' view of women she expresses here, betrays her Edwardian upbringing. Calling children prostitutes as she does her is pretty appalling!
Knowing "...where babies come from" is one thing, but I wonder if she knew what a clitoris was, or did, or how crucial a clitoris is for women to enjoy an orgasm? Did she even know men are not the only ones who have orgasms, and that women have orgasms too?! And if she did know these facts about female sexuality, did she share them with her children?
