@kerryruppert6275 We can speculate forever. Only two people know how he wound up zipped inside the suitcase he died in - one of them is dead, the other is a psychopath/compulsive liar, whose word can't be trusted.
But it's academic anyway. The fact is, he told her repeatedly that he couldn't breathe, yet she callously taunted him, and abandoned him overnight to die a horrible death by suffocation. Only a very young child would imagine he was safe and not in any danger, trapped inside that small suitcase for many hours.
Sarah Boone is not a child. When she ignored his pleas to let him out and instead went upstairs to bed alone, she had to know she was playing Russian roulette with her boyfriend's life. You wouldn't do that to a beloved pet, least of all your partner! A normal, caring non-psychopath feels love and empathy, and wouldn't sleep a wink knowing they had put another sentient being's life in peril.
It's clear Boone didn't love her boyfriend. Her desire to sadistically torture him to such extremes that he did not survive the night, reflects the murdering monster she is. Drink/dysfunction doesn't excuse or explain her breathtakingly callous actions.
