@Tryp-j9d We'll never know what happened - he's dead, and she's an unreliable witness. He was either incapacitated and placed in it by her (he was a small guy), or she conned him into getting in, as some kind of drunken game.

Only two people know how he wound up zipped inside the suitcase he died in - one of them is dead, the other is a psychopath/compulsive liar, whose word can't be trusted. But it's academic anyway. The fact is, he told her repeatedly that he couldn't breathe, yet she callously taunted him, and abandoned him overnight to die a horrible death by suffocation. Only a very young child would imagine he was safe and not in any danger, trapped inside that small suitcase for many hours. Sarah Boone is not a child. When she ignored his pleas to let him out and instead went upstairs to bed alone, she had to know she was playing Russian roulette with her boyfriend's life. You wouldn't do that to a beloved pet, least of all your partner! A normal, caring non-psychopath feels love and empathy, and wouldn't sleep a wink knowing they had put another sentient being's life in peril. It's clear Boone didn't love her boyfriend. Her desire to sadistically torture him to such extremes that he did not survive the night, reflects the murdering monster she is. Drink/dysfunction doesn't excuse or explain her breathtakingly callous actions.

The matter of fact way she tells 911 'My boyfriend is dead', without an ounce of emotion, is chilling. She didn't love him, her one and only concern throughout, was for herself. She's a monster. No doubt it was a mutually abusive relationship, and he was no angel. But as her own cellphone video proves, her actions in killing him were callous and sadistic beyond belief.

Sarah Boone showed her boyfriend no mercy - she deserves none from the court. Please God her innocent little boy is now free of her rotten influence, forever. PS How is this only second degree murder? She put the killing on video (not the smartest move), it proves first degree, premeditated murder.

@It-is-me...Melsie Fair point - this couple's history of 911 calls during domestic fights, shows any dysfunctional/weird behaviour is entirely possible!

@WobblesandBean Surely only a person of very low intelligence would shut someone in a suitcase overnight and leave them there, after they repeatedly said they can't breathe, and assume there was no risk of death. Sarah Boone is not stupid. Even putting the most charitable spin on it, she knew, at the very least, there was a risk of killing him.
