This issue holds true for most of the "lifestyle" trends on these sites. It's all glamorized for the sake of views. After all, nobody wants to watch mundane content or see the bad side of a lifestyle they're watching for entertainment. When Covid hit, people flocked to the homesteading channels. Everything looked so easy and nice. So, people started buying up rural land around the US, to try their hand at it. Then they found out that it's actually really hard work. As though all of the advancements in comfort and convenience that have been made over the past couple of centuries, were for no reason at all. Now, most of them are trying to sell their land and move back to the comforts of modern living.
