  1. A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. The National Guard is a militia. The constitution says that a militia is necessary to the security of a free state. Securing the border is a major part of the security of border states. Seems like they're doing their job.
