  1. The Libertarian Party needs smart, charming, fast thinking candidates in order to bolster their numbers. They need people who CAN go toe-to-toe with the media elite and come out on top. They can't win without a real base and they need candidates who can really tap into people's emotions to build that base. Let's not kid ourselves; people are emotionally tied to their political parties the same way they are emotionally tied to their chosen sports teams. If Gary Johnson really is the best candidate the Libertarians can come up with, then the party is doomed. Nobody wanted him to be their President. The people who DID vote for him across party lines were doing so out of protest against the two worst candidates the Dems and Repubs ever produced...and the Libertarians STILL couldn't beat them. Get back to the drawing board and don't come back until you have someone who can turn the heads of average Americans.
