  1. Kind of missing a few obvious points, here. A) Self driving cars have to reach critical mass first. B) Once they reach critical mass, the government will ban traditional cars before they'd be willing to repeal any regulations. I don't know about you but I'm not willing to give up my freedom to drive my car in order to do away with a few safety standards.

  2. Bushrod Rust Johnson You're talking about laws that were changed when the people agreed to allow sidewalks to be built next to roads for "public safety," when automobiles first hit the scene. Furthermore, we can discuss who "made" the majority of the roads but there's no argument as to who did the majority of the paving. Don't get me wrong, I agree with your principles but there isn't a legal leg to stand on in that debate. The people gave over that power to the government and it would take a serious majority to take it back. The Libertarian Party hasn't exactly been taking over, lately. So, I doubt we'll be seeing those changes any time in the near future.
