  1. Pure truth. Current estimates put us at a high of 650 million guns in civilian hands. Absolutely any plan that involves limiting the sale of guns is empty posturing. Any plan that involves limiting magazine capacity is more empty posturing. The Columbine massacre was carried out during the first assault weapons ban. They used compliant firearms and homemade explosives. Their victims are not less dead because of their choice of weapons.
