  1. ​ @gbknoll  It's a chicken that was yanked from a truck, carried at a dead run to a car, and driven away at high speed. It likely would have died of a heart attack, regardless of its background. Chickens aren't known for their incredible resolve in the face of adversity. They're, y'know...chicken.

  2. It's not hypocrisy to enjoy something one way when it's alive and a different way when it's dead. Whether it's you or the worms, something is going to eat that chicken. Might as well be you.

  3. They already did. California has higher standards for chicken farms than most of the Country. It passed with relatively little pushback. They could easily petition for more standards and would likely get them, if that's what they were after. These people don't want better quality of life for livestock before they become food. They only care whether they become food (for humans). She stole two chickens and one of them died - likely from a heart attack, due to the stress of being stolen. It doesn't matter to them that one of the chickens died because it "died free* (meaning in the hands of different humans) and "won't be eaten" (meaning worms will eat it, instead of people).

  4.  @dangercat9188  Sounds like a normal response for a kid to have. It also sounds like you had the kind of upbringing more people should have. The fact that nobody wanta to know where their chicken nuggets come from is the exact reason things have gotten so bad in factory farming. If more people were paying attention, it would result in a better situation for the animals, overall.

  6. True. However, people insist on living in huge cities, where they don't even have enough land to supplement their grocery shopping with homegrown food. As such, they will continue to eat factory farmed meats and over-processed vegetables, and slip further into their health issues.

  7. You can drop the (s). She only saved one chixken. The other one died - probably from a heart attack due to their actions - and is currently being eaten by worms, instead of feeding a family.

  8. ​ @pigeonlove  You're full of it and you know it. Everyone knows about factory farming at this point. This was about getting a celebrity face attached to the cause and nothing more. This wouldn't be in the news if it weren't for a Baywatch star being involved. Why? Because factory farms and vegan protests aren't news. Why is that? Because they're common knowledge. Oops.
