I love that you make him wear a mask for dramatic effect. He's outdoors, away from other people. He has no reason to be wearing a mask during the report, except to play on people's fears.

@Jono Holmes The democratic process (outlined in the Constitution), the right to dismantle the government if it becomes destructive (outlined in the Declaration of Independence), etc keep us from becoming a dictatorship. The Fourth Estate aka the Press (outlined in the Constitution) merely serves as a possible independent system of keeping the government in cheque. That does not mean that any organization calling themselves the Press is presumed benevolent or is beyond scrutiny. Any body of the Press that proves to be untrustworthy should be called out as such. Anyone claiming otherwise is merely supporting a different form of tyranny. If you love the US and her people then you must always question those who presume to be an authority, in any form. Freedom requires vigilance and scrutiny. Blindly following the news media - simply because they have a right to exist, as outlined in the Constitution - is not patriotism. By that logic, you're saying that we should also blindly follow the government. After all, the Constitution says that they should exist, too. Take care, brother. Freedom isn't free.

JP intentionally threw out a false premise in a half-assed attempt at being edgy, so he received no more respect than he gave. @TheLaXandro I'd like to expand on my first reply, so as to keep poor Ash from having a stroke: You are completely and utterly full of crap. The world as we know it is not ending. There will be more deaths and then there will be fewer. It will pass. There will be significant economic issues but we'll get through those, too. We've been through diseases and we've been through depressions. We just keep going. Put down your sandwich board and stop yelling at people from the street corner. The end is, in fact, not near.

@holycow343 No, it means that the number isn't "YUUUUGGEEEE." I didn't say a single word about how much of a tragedy it is. Death is tragic but you didn't comment about that. You commented about how big those numbers are. I put them into perspective, based on population. Don't try to change the argument in the middle.
