  1. I got a speeding ticket trying to avoid this kind of accident. I was on the left, passing a truck. He didn't see me and started to come over, to avoid merging traffic. I was too far forward to hit the brakes and there was no shoulder, so I gunned it. As I pulled past the truck, a cop tagged me with his radar gun. 87 in a 70. I tried to explain it to the cop and he said "Well, it's illegal to break the speed limit. It's not illegal to get hit by a truck." Yeah, real nice guy.
