Comments by "Charles Eye" (@TheCharleseye) on "4 injured in Texas high school shooting" video.
@johntuel2375 My State requires homeschooled kids to participate in standardized testing. Both of my kids regularly test above their respective grade levels in both math and language arts (the only two offered, unfortunately). I have to assume that with your narrow mind, your last name is pronounced 'tool.'

@lionheart93 Among other things, I'd say there are a lot of kids from abusive homes who were just stuck with their abusers for a long time, under stressful circumstances. Some of those kids only know lashing out as the outlet for their frustrations (as is taught to them by their abusers). Violence often times literally breeds violence.

Considering it's illegal for an 18 year old to carry a handgun, it's illegal to carry a gun in a high school, it's illegal to discharge a gun in a school, and it's illegal to shoot anyone but your intended target? Yeah, he's in jail.

@velociraptor6124 Yeah, that teacher really had it coming...

@olittleone5344 Liar. Federal law prohibits anyone under 21 from buying a handgun. All gun stores in the Country are required by law to make you fill out a 4473 form and then run a background check on you (which he would fail immediately, if trying to buy a handgun). Seeing as how he was 18, the only thing he could buy legally is a long gun. Did you see him pull a rifle or shotgun? No. He pulled a handgun. He either got a hold of a parent's gun or he bought it/was given it illegally outside the home.

@Spideera He's a criminal because being an 18 year old with a handgun in a high school who not only discharges the gun but hits unintended targets is four different CRIMINAL charges. The law about such things doesn't change because you've been dealt a bad hand. It doesn't matter what his name is, what his mental state is, or what he looks like. That's a deck loaded with felonies.

@trevd0g215 Those are all still felonies, even in Texas.

Words hurt? So does getting tossed around a classroom and beaten into the ground. So what? He brought the gun because he anticipated the fight was going to happen. Rather than be a "snitch," he risked the lives of dozens of people by firing off a gun in a classroom. You know what hurts more than words or even losing a fight in school? Being bent over a bunk by Bubba for a few years because your pride was more important than anything else.

@sbeni2 Of course not. They get them in California and New York without a problem, and those are two of the strictest States in the Union.

@Spideera What are you banking about? I don't know whether certain actions are defined as crimes? Are you stupid or something? Pick up a law book or even Google it. I never said charges had been pressed. I said that the law defines those actions as crimes. Whether or not they press charges at this point will likely be due to social politics over anything else. Just because someone isn't currently charged with a crime, doesn't mean their actions weren't criminal. As for the end there, you lost me. What did his house have to do with obvious racial bias in your statements? Are you saying he's not "black enough" cause his family is well off? That's crap.

Don't blame him for...knowing that he was potentially going to be facing violence and rather than be a "snitch," decided to open fire in a room full of people and hit people who had nothing to do with his problem? He's looking at at least four felonies because he chose to arm up instead of getting help beforehand. Of course he's to blame for his actions, just as the other kid is to blame for his. From what I saw in the video, there should be no problem getting the other kid charged with felony assault and battery. That wasn't a fight, it was a beating.

Under 21 with a handgun, in a school, discharged it in a school, and shot unintended targets (the teacher). That's four felonies that don't go away in a self defense case.

@juanmills6796 Not 'A' felony, FOUR felonies and no, it's not the American way to "defend" yourself by planning a shooting when there is plenty of time to take alternative action.

@Bewefau Even claiming self defense, he was under 21 with a handgun, in a school, firing randomly, and hitting an unintended target. That's a lot of felonies and the first two (under 21 carrying a handgun and having a gun in a school) occurred before the fight. Those can't be swept away. The fact that he brought the gun to school in the first place can be used by the prosecution to claim premeditation. He's pretty screwed.
