  1. And therein lies my problem with a lot of these new SUVs. I have a stock, '97 Suburban K1500, for camping/hunting. The only "upgrade" it has is Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires. It climbs hills like that with ease. If a brand new "off-road edition" SUV can't match a 26-year-old soccer mom vehicle on the dirt, how is it worth $40,000+? None of the "luxury" features matter if you can't get to the other side of the ridge, where you want to be.
